Taste the Wild at Heritage Park Zoo
Love delicious food and wild animals? Then you don’t want to miss the Taste of the Wild at Heritage Park Zoo. The sanctuary’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the Taste of the Wild event is an annual town hit. There will be music and entertainment, a silent auction, special animal encounters and much more.
Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary is a non-profit wildlife sanctuary, dedicated to the conservation and protection of native and exotic animals. Located in scenic Prescott, Arizona, the sanctuary provides a source of recreation, education and entertainment for all ages. With the mission of “Conservation through Education,” Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary provides a unique and up-close experience with animals that visitors may see nowhere else. Animals at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary all have a story and lesson to teach.
Restaurants, wineries and breweries from all over Arizona will offer tastings from their menus, including the Barley Hound, Bin 239, Granite Mountain Brewing, Hassayampa Inn, Panera Bread, Texas Roadhouse, Wild Iris Coffee House, Copper Top Ale House and Outlaw Donuts for the Taste of the Wild event.
There will also be behind-the-scenes tours, something that’s not offered for any other event the sanctuary does. Zookeepers will do presentations on an animal and will also show how they take care of that animal behind the scenes.
The event takes place Sunday, October 1st from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary, 1403 Heritage Park Road, Prescott. Tickets are $75 per person and must be purchased online at www.heritageparkzoo.org, by calling 928-778-4242 or stopping by the Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary. This is an adult event. All proceeds from this event support the animals and programs at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary.
