Celebrate World Tai Chi and Qigong Day in Prescott Valley

World-Tai-Chi-Day-2016The ancient Chinese practices of tai chi and qi gong combine slow, deliberate movements, meditation, and breathing exercises. Both practices can help your circulation, muscle control, balance, and alignment. Tai Chi and qigong can also help restore your energy and provide a low-impact fitness activity for all ages from beginners and pro athletes to people with health conditions. The many health benefits of these practices are all the more reason we’re excited to celebrate World Tai Chi and Qigong Day in Prescott Valley this weekend!

World Tai Chi and Qigong Day is celebrated in eighty nations around the world annually and now, there will be a chance to celebrate it in Prescott Valley on Saturday, April 30th. Held at the Prescott Valley Amphitheater from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the event is free for all to participate. The Prescott Valley Amphitheater is located between the Civic Center, 7501 E. Civic Circle and the Police Station, 7601 E. Civic Circle.

This wellness event is being put on by Certified Tai Chi/Qigong Instructor Patti Daugherty, who lives in Prescott Valley and has organized as well as taken part in similar events around the state. The event will see demonstrations by various teachers and the public will have the chance to meet these teachers at the end of the demonstrations. With benefits that include stress reduction, improved focus, coordination, and flexibility, you’d be hard-pressed not to checkout this Prescott Valley community wellness event. For more information, contact Daugherty at 520-490-4893 or at taichipatti@me.com. And for more Prescott events and things to do in Prescott, please contact Crystal Creek Builders.
