Finish the Fight Against Cancer Relay for Life Sweeps Prescott
Nearly everyone you know has either lost someone they loved to cancer or known someone who has. You may even be or know a cancer survivor. That’s how common and debilitating cancer can be and it continues to impact lives daily. If you’re looking to take a stand and spread awareness then join the American Cancer Society and help Finish The Fight against cancer at the annual Relay For Life of the Quad Cities Community on Friday, May 15th at the Town of Prescott Valley Civic Center lawns.
The event, which takes place at 7501 East Civic Circle, Prescott Valley, AZ begins at 6:00 p.m. with an opening ceremony welcoming all participants, and then survivors will lead a lap around the track to celebrate their victory over cancer.
Because cancer doesn’t sleep, this unique fundraising event takes place overnight and brings together friends, families, survivors, and people from all walks of life to help further the American Cancer Society’s mission. Relay for Life of the Quad Cities Community will honor cancer survivors and caregivers, and remember loved ones lost to the disease.
The Luminaria ceremony will remember friends and family lost to cancer at 9:00 p.m., and to support those in their fight now. The Quad Cities Community Relay for Life continues overnight and concludes at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16th with a closing ceremony. There are many ways to get involved in Relay for Life.
