Flood Preparation Sand Bags Available Throughout Yavapai County
Now that fire danger conditions have improved enough for fire restrictions to be lifted throughout Yavapai County, the Yavapai County Emergency Management is encouraging everyone to be on high alert about flooding due to monsoon storms. The group advises all to “Stay out of washes, riverbeds, and take higher ground if you’re downstream from a storm. Yavapai County Emergency Management is also stocking various locations with sandbags for reducing flood water damage. Anyone is welcome to the sandbags, but must fill the bags themselves with their own shovels. The locations are as follows:
