Have you visited the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center?

Since the grand opening of the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew (GMIHC) Learning and Tribute Center there have been more than 15,000 people to visit Gateway Prescott Mall where the center is located. Visitors have come from forty-six different states, and nine foreign countries!

“It appears this has become an important local attraction,” said Prescott Fire Chief Dennis Light. “This was a grass-roots effort to bring the GMIHC Learning and Tribute Center to fruition.   I’d like to offer my personal heartfelt thanks to the volunteers, staff and the community their support.”

John Marsh, Chair of the GMIHC Board, said, “This phenomenal success has been made possible by an all-volunteer board and the dedication of more than 40 trained volunteer docents who staff the center. Likewise, the community continues to remain very supportive with donations of material and labor.”

If you would like to visit the GMIHC Learning and Tribute Center, they are open Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and Sundays from 11am to 4pm at the Prescott Gateway Mall, near Dillards.
