Prescott celebrates a benefits filled weekend
Let the season of giving begin! Prescott celebrates a benefits filled weekend with three different upcoming events to bring awareness and raise funds for wonderful local causes. Here’s what you need to know.
Jammies and Jam
From 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 6th, SueAnn’s Apple Pan Restaurant located at 510 W. Gurley St. in Prescott, will host Jammies and Jam, a benefit for the Arizona Children’s Association. The main objective of the event is to gather pajamas for boys and girls in the local foster care system. It’s a delicious opportunity to keep some local kids warm on the upcoming long winter nights and all donations remain in the tri-city area. Just bring a pair of pajamas, any size, for the donation box and wear pajamas yourself! Monetary donations are also welcome. Click here for more details.
Breath of Life
The Contemporary Partnership for Comfort Care will present an afternoon of contemporary music of Native American origins, “Breath of Life,” from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 7th at the Prescott Meals on Wheels Hilltop Café in the Rowle P. Simmons Community Center located at 1280 E Rosser St in Prescott. All proceeds will benefit the CPCC, a non-profit organization consisting of volunteers and organizations interested in education about end-of-life issues. For $10 tickets call 928-493-2394 or click here for more details.
Yarnell Car Show and Cruise
On Saturday, November 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. there will be a Yarnell Car Show and Cruise to help raise funds for the Yarnell Fire District and its newly reformed Auxiliary. Yarnell, which is located about 33 miles south of Prescott, has witnessed a huge outpouring of support from the Yarnell Fire District as well as the surrounding communities of Glen Ilah and Peeples Valley. A shuttle will transport people from Mike’s Days of Vintage at the north end of Highway 89, to the American Legion Post 79 on the south end of town. This event is free to the public. To enter the Yarnell Car Show and Cruise, call Nancy Perry’s hotline at 602-843-3545 or click here for more event details.
Regardless of which event you decide to attend, we hope you’ll continue to show support for the Prescott community and the surrounding areas this weekend.
