Prescott Holiday Events Throughout December

You are going to want to mark your calendar throughout the month of December as Prescott is the place to be for holiday events! Here is a list of all the events happening around town.

Enchanted Christmas Tour of Lights: runs through December 30th at Prescott Gateway Mall. There are fifteen themed rooms with a large Christmas Village and a Model Railroad Display. This is a family favorite! $5.00 admission.

Annual Gingerbread Village Display: runs through January 1st at Prescott Resort and Conference Center. Don’t miss the world’s largest display of Gingerbread Villages! Over one thousand unique, handcrafted gingerbread art will be on display.

37th Annual Prescott Chamber Christmas Parade: happening on Saturday, December 7th at 1pm in downtown Prescott. Enjoy watching 100 parade entries as they show off their lights around the historic Whiskey Row!

65th Annual Courthouse Christmas Lighting: this time-honored tradition is a MUST-SEE event during the holiday season. The historic Prescott courthouse will be light for the first time on Saturday, December 7th between 6:00-6:30pm and will remain light through January 19, 2020.

Sharlot Hall Museum Annual Frontier Christmas: immediately following the lighting of the courthouse, you can enjoy Christmas like it was celebrated when Prescott was the Territorial Capital of Arizona! Homemade holiday cookies, hot cider and varies entertainment will be happening from 6:00-8:30pm. $5.00 admission for adults 18 and older.

Acker Musical Showcase: this local tradition was inspired by James S. Acker and funds raised help to support scholarships for music lessons, instruments and local youth arts programs. This is a fun, family friendly event with music and artists sharing their talents across the historic Whiskey Row. Local businesses will be open late with additional entertainment! This year’s Acker Musical Showcase is happening Friday, December 13th dfrom 5:30pm-8:00pm. They are looking for volunteers!

Wild Lights and Animal Sightings: every Friday and Saturday evening from 6:00-9:00pm through December 27th the Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary will be open to the public with festive holiday decorations, music and a spectacular light display. $5.00 admission for members and $8.00 for non-members.

Whiskey Row Boot Drop: if you are looking for something fun to do to ring in the New Year, then you don’t want to miss the iconic Whiskey Row Boot Drop! This year’s event is presented by Findlay Auto Group of Prescott, and will include entertainment, food and fun. First boot drop happens at 10pm and the second at midnight.
