Prescott’s Kid Cooking Camp Cooking up Fun this Summer
Looking for something for your kid’s to enjoy this summer and beat the heat? Prescott’s Kid Cooking Camp is cooking up fun this summer! Children ages eight to sixteen who are interested in Kid’s Cooking Camp will learn how to turn wholesome, healthy ingredients into delectable dishes. It’s the perfect way to beat the heat and learn to make healthy nutrition choices and meals.
Beginning June 22ndh through June 26th, this five-day camp will teach kids: basic knife skill instructions and safety first skills, basic cooking instructions; assembling ingredients, recipe reading, measuring and cleanup; hands on experience in creating healthy, fun, tasty and kid-friendly food! The week ends with a grand buffet of camper-prepared food where families are welcome to attend and enjoy their little chef’s tasty creations.
The nutrition portion of the Kid’s Cooking Camp is based on the L.E.A.N. Start program from the world-renowned Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. Making Healthy Fun cooking portion is taught by Mark Montague, Executive Chef. Nutrition portion is taught by Jasmine Castigliano, Certified Elementary School Teacher, Nutrition Therapist, and Health Coach Northern Arizona Brain Integration, LLC.
The fee, $180, includes daily lunch and snack and all materials. Dates are June 22nd through 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Class size is limited to ten students.
