Are you tough enough for the Whiskey Row Marathon?
As an Arizona running tradition for thirty-eight years, the Whiskey Row Marathon is among the toughest races in the country and is event voted one of the Best Half Marathons in Arizona! So the most important question to ask yourself is this: Are you tough enough for the Whiskey Row Marathon?
The annual Whiskey Row Marathon takes place Saturday, May 14th and starts in front of the Palace Bar at 120 S. Montezuma St., Prescott, AZ as early as 5:00 am. Featuring rugged terrain, an altitude in excess of one mile above sea level and, on occasion, severe weather, it’s challenging, fun and offers a number of running routes for runners of all skill and fitness levels, including a half marathon, a 10k and a two mile run/walk. Participants are encouraged to come out and join runners from all over the county in this prestigious event.
Proceeds from the Whiskey Row Marathon race go directly into the scholarship fund at the James Family Prescott YMCA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community-focused organization, to assist children and families in financial need to participate in child care, swimming lessons, youth sports and gymnastics classes. The Whiskey Row Marathon is their largest fundraiser for program scholarships which help families in the Prescott community. Participation in this race not only promotes personal health, but also promotes the overall health of the Prescott Community.
